It contains approved ingredients such as Berberine (Berberine), Psillium, Jujuba, Apple Cider and Glucomannan (Glucomannan) which according to the official EFSA guideline taking two capsules before a meal with 1000 mg helps to reduce body weight.
Glucomannan is a dietary fibre which is derived from the root of the Konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac), a perennial plant that thrives in Southeast Asia and Africa and has beneficial effects on the digestive system while containing almost no calories. As a dietary supplement, glucomannan is officially used to treat obesity.
It has an important physicochemical property such as that of water absorption. This property makes it bloat in the stomach resulting in a feeling of fullness and satiety.
It is a type of non-ionic hydrocolloidal dietary fibre and is composed of D-mannose and D-glucose linked by β-1, 4 glycosidic bonds in a molar ratio of 1:1.6-1:1, 4. In addition, there are acetyl groups at random positions along the molecule. The molecular weight of glucomannan ranges up to 2.000.000, depending on the extraction procedures.
Glucomannan may form a layer around the food and therefore may inhibit the absorption of cholesterol and bile acids. It also forms a protective film on the intestinal wall and prolongs the retention time of food in the stomach.
In addition, fibre cleanses the stomach and removes toxins through intestinal peristaltic movement. As it is effective in absorbing water and is low in calories, it promotes satiety and reduces hunger.
DAILY DOSE:
Take 2 capsules before meals, three times daily or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
